Homeopathy is a safe and gentle natural form of medicine that has been used for over 200 years. Homeopathy is a holistic system of medicine meaning it assesses each person as a whole in order to prescribe a good remedy for their complaint.
It can treat and help symptoms that are physical, emotional or mental. Homeopathic treatment results in better health for the future as well as improvement in current illness.
Homeopathic treatment is sometimes available on the NHS, as it was included at its dawning in 1948 by Aneurin Bevan who benefited from it himself. There are Homeopathic Hospitals funded by the NHS in some areas. The Royal Family have long been supporters, particularly HRH Queen Elizabeth and Prince Charles.
It works by stimulating our natural healing abilities so that we gently overcome our illness. It works with our bodies to strengthen and improve our health generally.
There is lots of evidence that Homeopathy works very well.
There are many powerful studies demonstrating that homeopathy improves patient health and well being. One of the biggest studies, in 2005, evaluated the outcome of homeopathic treatment and found that 70% of 6500 patient, properly followed up, experienced improvement in their health – Eczema, asthma, migraine, irritable bowel syndrome, arthritis, depression and chronic fatigue syndrome. These are often difficult chronic conditions yet commonly suffered by many….improved with Homeopathy. **
In another 8 yr study published in BMC Public Health, over 3500 patients reported considerable improvements in various health conditions following homeopathic treatment.++

Conventional Medicine is Evidence Based.
Critics often assume that conventional medicine is evidence based. The BMJ clinical evidence department updates regularly (every 6 months) a review of 3000 treatments. It found that 50% of the treatments were of unknown effectiveness and only 11% could be said with certainty to be beneficial.
Australian Report 2014
The NHMRC report from Australia is being touted as further reinforcement that homeopathy does not work. The ‘Overview Report’ by Australia’s National Health and Medical Council (NHMRC) fails to be a sound scientific document because it gravely distorts the nature of the clinical research evidence in homeopathy and its conclusion that the evidence ‘fails to demonstrate that homeopathy is an effective treatment for any of the reported clinical conditions’ is seriously misleading. For those reasons the report is currently being challenged by the Australian CMA (Complementary Medical Association) through the Ombudsman. Detailed feedback and points in rebuttal can be found: www.hri-research.org/wp-content/uploads/2014/10/HRI-Response-to-Australian-NHMRC-Report-2014.pdf
Science and Technology Committee ‘Evidence Check’
This 2010 report is often quoted as proving that homeopathy doesn’t work. It was not a scientific peer reviewed report, and cannot be viewed as evidence. More information can be found on: www.homeopathyevidencecheck.org
Since we pay for the NHS we should be able to have the treatment option of our choosing. Homeopathy was included in the NHS Act of 1948, and is available on the NHS. More positive results came from a French study in 2015. 800 randomly selected GP’s and 8500 patients were divided into 3 groups, namely, conventional treatment, homeopathic treatment, and integrated treatment. The conclusion was that: patients who were given homeopathic treatment consumed significantly less conventional medicine and experienced no side effects…management of patients by homeopathic GP’s is less expensive from a global perspective and represents an important interest to public health.#
In the UK the NHS spends just .0001% of its drugs budget on homeopathy, treating over 40000 patients a year, who often suffer chronic illness that was previously managed with more expensive drugs.

Dame Sally Davies who is England’s Chief Medical Officer, has said that antimicrobial resistance poses a ‘catastrophic threat’. To counter this threat both the EU and WHO are encouraging greater integration of conventional and alternative therapies. A recent Belgian study concluded: For all conditions patients successfully treated by homeopathy required less medicine, resulting in fewer side effects so that homeopathy represented a more cost effective solution with regards to public health. ***
Another recent document from the WHO (World Health Organisation) states: patients whose general practitioner has additional complementary and alternative medicine training have lower healthcare costs and mortality rates than those who do not. Reduced costs were the outcome of fewer hospital stays and fewer prescription drugs+++

Treatment is always safe and can be taken alongside your prescribed medicines from your GP. As your health improves you may wish to see your GP again to discuss reduction of existing medication which obviously pleases me..
There are no side effects from Homeopathic medicines and they are tested and proved on human volunteers not animals.
The range of conditions that Homeopathy can treat is huge and many patients report great results.
Homeopathy can help you cope better with the stress in your life so that your future, as well as your present state, improves a great deal.
